Hi there,

one of my PC's is used as a file and print server and
pretty much is left on his own. To preserve energy I
switch it off from time to time and wake it up remotely
via wake on lan, when needed.
My question is: is it possible to have the computer
entering hibernation without having a user logged in.
Hibernation works fine as soon as somebody is logged in,
but doesn't work at all, when not.

Does anybody have an idea how to achieve that?

Regards
Rob.

Are you receiving an error? Hibernate is available from the "Shut down"
dialog as it normally is. (Click "Shut down computer", hold SHIFT, and click
Hibernate.)
