About once every 3 +/- times I try to hibernate, I get a COM1: conflict that prevents hibernation. The only "solution" I've found is really no solution. I have to uninstall the modem and the com port and reboot. It will then work a few more times before I have to repeat the process. My PC is a Toshiba Portege 7020CT that I upgraded to XP Pro some time ago. Help

Go to the device manager > com ports > right click > update driver. Whether
updating the driver ( if it has a newer board driver available) is unknown .
I receive a update keyboard driver error that has stopped hibernation about
once every three months. Updating the drivers in the message will resolve
this problem. Jym

i have the same problem, except it is the com 1 driver that is preventing hibernation. have tried updating driver but no help. had read that quicken 2000 caused this problem, so i uninstalled it and installed 2004. worked for a while but now it's back.
