I have XP Pro and I cannot get it to hibernate. It used to but not
anymore. When I do it wont respond I just get a black screen and have to
reset. I have tried all sort of links from the group but none seem to work.
I was wondering is there anything in the BIOS that might help me out. I am
getting fed up. Any help would be great Thx.....

Hi Stuart,

What has changed since it last worked? The loss of standby and/or hibernate
is almost always caused by the installation of software or drivers that do
not support it. More often than not, the resolution is to rollback the
updated drivers, or removing the offending software (or possibly updating
it).
