Error message: Hi-Speed Universal Serial Bus (USB) 2.0
device does not operate in Hi-Speed mode.. Help topics
tell me to obtain the latest service pack for Windows XP,
which I already have.Is there another way to download
these controllers? Will the new ones conflict with my
previous USB controllers?

I can tell you from my experience only, you have done (apparently) all you
can do except for 1 item.. I had a PCI card USB2.0.... Tried everything and
got lots of error messages and slow speeds.. Decided to buy a different card
(Belkin ) installed it and my problems were gone..
I have no idea why the Belkin USB2.0 PCI card worked and the cheapo one
didn't, but that was the key...The only thing i can guess is the chipset on
the Belkin card was different than the cheapo one. and that might have been
the difference... Also check in System HArdware to see if you have the word
'enhanced' as part of the USB configuration... It sez enahanced USB
controller or something like that..
