To see whats on your C drive you need left click

1. Start
2. All programs
3. Accessories

then find Windows Explorer , This will show whats on the C drive (Software wise)

no no, what i mean is, normally you will double click c drive and it opens, but for some reason i get a search insted.. and u know how when you righ click, open is usualy on top? well, its not, search is there insted.. i want to fix it back to normal

The only thing I have found which may be of use is this:

http://www.jfitz.com/tips/rclick_custom.html

Although playing with the registry is not a good idea at all unless you know what you are doing, so I wouldn't really recommend trying to change anything there.

Did the problem start suddenly?

ive gone thru that before i joined forum.. ha... so annoying.. yes, its a sudden problem, but i dont download stuff, so i dont know if it would be a virus or spyware, i doubt it tho

if it is.. or if it isnt.. Malware makes me cry..

Ok here we go> open my computer>Right click C > properties>tools >run disc error checker> to perform this reboot the computer, as it has to have sole use> when it is finished it will state the problem, now tell me what it states?

its not an error though, just a setting i cant seem to fix

isted of search being the third thing on the right click menu, its the first, and open is the third thing

It appears some form of virus/spyware/trojan has entered your PC? or a file has been deleted?
what OS are you using? XP? Do you have a disc, what are the specs of the offending PC?
Looks like a reinstal to me in fact it would be benificial to you.

i dont think its a bug, or a trojan, unless the hacker is a complete idiot.. its not so much an error as an annoyance, and not worth a reinstall.. plus, im only15, i definatley cant afford a new os disk
