Does anyone at Microsoft ACTUALLY read the problems posted here..or is there
a better place to post?
BTW I think all the beta testers should be entitled to a FREE final
version..afterall we are the guinea pigs !!!

Yes Microsoft does read these posts.
You and every other home user will be able to use the final product for
free.
As for businesses...

About being guinea pigs...
Guinea pigs do not have a choice, we do.

About "free final version"

"At the RSA conference, Bill Gates announced the consumer
and enterprise strategy for Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware.
"The personal version of the final Windows AntiSpyware
software (will be) available at no additional charge to
licensed Windows customers as part of the Windows value
proposition. The offering will offer full functionality to
consumers, including the ability to detect and remove
spyware, continual protection that helps guard against more
than 50 ways that Web sites and programs can put spyware on
a PC, and protection against the latest threats through the
combined efforts of the SpyNetT community and Microsoft
researchers. For business customers, with more complex
infrastructure support, management and deployment needs,
Microsoft plans a managed anti-spyware solution that will be
available as part of a paid solution."

This is a *user* community of your peers. Microsoft graciously provides
the NNTP server for submitting posts (or you can use your own NNTP
server) but this is not some free support venue for your personal needs.
If you want to speak with a real Microsoft support person, call them and
pay for it. Otherwise, visit here for free support of varying quality
and accuracy offered by VOLUNTEERS that visit here.

You get the use of a product for free and then expect to get it for
free. Did you ever actually submit an RFC (Request for Change, to
report bugs) or RFE (Request for Enhancement)? You really thought you
were a paid alpha tester? Sure, let them give you a free copy of the
released version - right after you submit your payment for rental of the
software. If you didn't like the conditions of the beta test version,
you shouldn't have wasted your time with it. You VOLUNTEERED to be a
guinea pig during the beta test phase. When you volunteer your time to
your church, school, or other charitable deed, you actually expect to
get paid for that? Then you really did NOT volunteer, did you?

Regarding MSAS specifically, just who told you that the released version
would not be free? From what I've heard, the released WILL be free (to
*registered* users). There is supposed to be an enterprise version of
MSAS that will cost money but then it will be designed to be used in
corporate networks and administered by IT or sysadmins, and that is
probably not your environment. The *consumer* version of MSAS will be
free. You make it sound like someone told you otherwise.

Dear Guinea Pig,

I am not a guinea pig. I am a software crash dummy.
Does anyone at Microsoft ACTUALLY read the problems posted here..or is
there a better place to post?>
Yes, in fact they do read. Prolly about 7+ million downlaods, and afew
messages each day. Not bad in my math book.
BTW I think all the beta testers should be entitled to a FREE final
version..afterall we are the guinea pigs !!! >
Do YOU read what's posted here???

Microsoft has announced that the release version of MWAS will be available
at no additional cost to licensed Windows customers.
They've also announced that a product suitable for the Enterprise will be
available at some future time, and will have a cost associated with it.

Guess that you don't really read the posts placed here or you would know
that it is going to be "free" for everyone with a legitimate copy of
Windows.
