So I finally got myself a 64 MB USB flash drive. It's a cute lil toy.
Can somebody please tell me why I freakin' need this thing? ;)

we'll, if you can get an atlas condensed down into 64MB, you can copy it to
your flash card, hold it in the palm of your hand and chant:

"I've got the whole world, in my hand...!"

Works with CDs too... personal choice really.

What in the hell did you buy it for if you don't know what to do with it?

Maybe you could try sneaking top secret virus programs out of CIA like that
chick on 'The Recruit'.

Awesome movie by the way ... if you haven't seen it I recommend renting it.

i thought people used them to store digital pics from thier flash cards
memory,,, but those things aren't powered are they? at least not from a digi
cam to that pen drive

Well, it's 64 MB of store-whatever-you want.

its like having a 64M floppy disk. Except its more rigid and r/w's lot
faster.

i use mine mostly for xfering mp3's.

Thank you for admitting that. Our representatives will contact you
shortly. Please have $5,000 for the fine ready.

Wish I had a nickel for every time i heard/read that.

Workplace PCs are Win2000 and do not have solitaire (and do not let me
install apps . . ) I copied the files to the USB drive and can now
waste time at work.

Also works with an old DOS version of DOOM II - though with no sound.

It's medication for the dreaded disease Upgrade Fever. ;-)

Well, if you bought one without needing one, or without a plan of how to use
it,..then (forgive me) thats pretty dumb...
I have a Lexar Jumpdrive 256meg USB2-----I use it to store many small system
utilities, anti-virus updates, Windows fixes/patches.
(Things like Ad-aware, WinZip, Adobe Acrobat 6, Quicktime, Intel and Via
chipset drivers, Winamp audio player, video drivers, etc)
Its worth every penny and more in my job running around doing tech support
for various clients...

You could use it to easily transfer files between home and work, or to a
friends house.

They don't work that way. They need a USB host to work, the stick and
camera are neither.
