Hey, cool, my keyboard has a 'crash vista' button

It has a little picture of the moon on it, it's just above my escape key,
every time I slip and accidentally hit it, the Vista screen goes black and
never does it return. If it does eventually come back (after a
power-cycle), I get a "Windows has recovered from a serious error" message.

Sounds like a BIOS/ACPI issue. Please state your motherboard make/model and
BIOS date and/or revision.

Let me guess... GeForce card in the machine? Try using the Windows XP
drivers.

I can beat that... my keyboard has 101 "Crash Vista" buttons!

Someone had to say it ;)
 
It is a sleep button -- you need the appropriate keyboard drivers.
Mine does work appropriately.
I have a GeForce card.
