I'm looking for a freeware called Hero Editor, similar to ATMA. Anyone
hear of it or know where it's located? I don't know if it's still an
active program.

TIA

In the alt.games.diablo(2) groups, they know better where to find it, if
any. And don't forget what they told you, there are versions out, that
are trojanized and will steal your CD ID code, account and password and
send it to scammers who need these numbers, because their account had
been banned for illegal behaviour, so they try to get a "replacement"
that way.

Like it happened to Mousepads Maphack program, several times. He listed
these cases, which he came to know of:
http://www.mousepad-d2.com/ripoffs.html

So I can't really guarantee that this one is any good:

Gabriele, thanks for taking the time to post to me. I've taken all the
advice given and decided I'm much safer with ATMA which doesn't have all
the problems that HE apparently has, unless I'm mistaken. I've been
playing SP, however that doesn't mean that I won't seriously get
interested in MP one day when I feel more comfortable with my
characters. Therefore, I'm taking a pass on HE.

Thanks again.............Diane
