I have Windows XP Professional instaled on Compaq laptop,
model 2525US.
XP executable, "helpsvc.exe", starts randomly, and take
up to 95 % of CPU.
I can kill this process through Task Mgr when I see this
occurring, , but it is very annoying, and I am not sure if
this high level of prolonged CPU usage could damage my
laptop.
I have created a DWORD entry called Headlines
and given it the value of 0, for the following Registry
Key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ PCHealth \
HelpSvc to no effect.
What else can I do to solve this problem.
- Thanks,
