I never used Outlook or Outlook Express before. I have
Verizon DSL and email. I am having trouble with the
verizon email with them having no answers. So I decide to
start using Outlook 2000. The Verizon helper told me to
try it! I am using Windows ME also.
I followed everything and thought it was all fine. BUT
today I can't send email. First it went as lng as there
wasn't an attachment. Now it won't go with or without an
attachment. I get message: TCP/IP connection was
unexpectedly terminated by your mail server. If problem
persists contact LAN admin or IP. Well, Verizon says it's
nothing with their system it must be my virus protector.
They tell me to shut it off when sending mail. I tried it,
still doesn't work. I have not been able to send email for
a week already. I don't know where else to turn. They all
seem to want to blame one another. Also I have 2 kids with
a profile on here but I set them up the same way. Now if
mail does come in, it goes to all our mailboxes not just
who it's for. swear I am ready to toss this thing or use
it just for games! Can anone PLEASE help? Thanks.

I know you don't want to hear this, but my first guess would be that it is
your ISP dropping your connection.

I really don't think Outlook is involved since you were able to send mail
for a short period of time. I would also look at your network settings in
Windows.

Are other Internet operations also affected? Can you browse the Internet
consistently?
