Can anyone help on this.

I have Windows 2003 server I have just updated the O/S with security patches (and sp1). Then the windows help center (helpctr.exe) wont run.

Not a big issue but I would like it to work.

Its a Powervault so no cd drive to reinstall the file (could be done over network though).

Is there a simple solution that means I dont have to down the server??

Here is the error from event viewer
Faulting application helpctr.exe, version 5.2.3790.1830, faulting module oleaut32.dll, version 5.2.3790.1830, fault address 0x00006c80.

Not a clue about Win 2003 server ...

However, Go to Start/Run and type in: regsvr32 HHCTRL.OCX

The 'Help Centre' can be corrupted by such programes as EasyCleaner, which has a fix for that, or a 'PCHealth' component being damaged ... ;)

Thanks for the help but that didn't work.

Do you think a reinstall of the dll would be the best bet?

Whats the best way to reinstall a single dll?
