i am using xp pro
when i try to use help and support on the start menu
i get the small hr glass for 2 or 3 seconds then it is as if i had done
nothing.. ie nothing starts
any help would be welcome

Next, try Doug's site, linked below. Click on XP-FIXES, then on Fix XP HELP.
 
Thank you once more for your speedy reply.
I ran the script that repairs the reg ..message said it was fixed, still
no work..
Last night i done a xp repair from the cd which seemed to reinstall the
whole os..still no works..
