Hi,
Whenever I clicked on the fill handle to drag the subsequent numbers
down in a column, it would change the formulas.
Is there any way to maintain the same formula throughout the same
column by using the drag method (clickin on fill handle)?
Thanks for any help.

Take a look at "The difference between absolute and relative
references" in XL Help.

For instance, instead of

=A1 + 1

you can use

=$A$1 + 1

Before this, the formula was already in absolute addressing( cos I have
to calculate the salary using that); $E$9*F7.
But I changed the current formula from =$E$9*F7 to =$E$9*$F7; I add a
dollar sign infront of F7 cos I want the F7 to remains unchanged
throughout the column. But the formula still change as I drag them down
the column. By right, the formula should go like $E$9*F7, $E$10*F7,
$E$11*F7 so on, but it goes in this way;
=$E$9*F7, =$E$9*F8, =$E$9*F9, (the F* changes though I have added a
dollar sign infront of it), when I drag it down.
What's wrong with my formula?
Note: my formula has to be calculated in absolute addressing in the
first place. Pls help.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have to look at the help, first - then appreciate it.

Look at the reference in Help that I suggested in my initial reply:

"The difference between absolute and relative references"

That should make it clear why $E$9*$F7 doesn't work and $E9*$F$7
does.
