I desperately need help recovering a wordperfect document
i accidentally deleted as a backup file. I have already
looked in the recycle bin and it is not there. Please
help, this paper is due in 2 days and i only have 1/4 of
it left.

Unfortunately, you might be at a loss. One important thing to remember,
however, that the best possible way to recover a deleted file is to not
write anything more to your hard drive. I'm not positive how Windows works
these days, but long ago when a file was deleted all that happened was the
first letter of the file name was replaced with a question mark (?). This
rendered the file invisible by normal file viewing methods. The space on
the hard drive that occupied this file still existed as long as no other
file overwrote the "empty" area. The first letter might be replaced with
the tilde (~) these days, but I'm not sure.

Doubt it would work for you, but do a search in Windows Explorer for your
file name replacing the first letter with a question mark. Who knows?
Desperate measures for desperate times!

Here is a link to a search I did on the NET on file recovery software. Have
no idea on it's success, but might be worthwhile to check out.
