HELP---

I have gotten the W32.Spybot.Worm virus and don't know how to get rid of
it...

Any suggestions would be appreciated

My NAV 2003 acknowledges it is there but says it cannot be deleted...

w32.spybot worm disables NAV, Msconfig, Regedit and Task Manager:

Try this to:

Rename regedit.exe to regedit.com then:

Download then Merge the edit on line 251 then delete all the files mentioned
in the above link.

When I follow the steps listed by Symantec...

I run "regedit" ......
that screen opens for about 3-5 seconds( not long enough to do what I need
to do) then it closes...

what can I do to make it stay open longer....


The Virus Alert screen say

"NAV has detected a virus on your computer."

Object Name : C:\WINDOWS\system32\WINLODR.SCR

Virus Name : W32.Spybot.Worm

Ation Take : Unable to repair this file.

I hit the OK key at the bottom and it says

Action Taken : Access to file was denied.

Rename regedit.exe to regedit.com then:

where do i go to rename regedit.exe to regedit.com?

Where do i find this file?
