I'm using Wiondows XP. Recently, my system displayed the
following message. "Remote Procedure Call Service
Terminated Unexpectedly." It then gives me 60 seconds
then shuts down the system. I cannot find the problem or
solution.

You have not searched this group for "RPC" or "remote". This worm, and
its eradication, is mentioned in hundreds of recent posts here.

in all probability the Blaster Worm.
start your fix by reviewing www.microsoft.com/blaster

Go to Symantec and download the tool to eradicate the worm it sounds as
though you have.
