I am trying to download a file. I get the following message 'This file does
not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an
association in the folder options control panel.'

I am really new at using the web..I have read several of the posts and I
still can't figure it out. Nothing I do seem to work. I need to get this
downloaded ASAP as I need this to start working. Could anyone out there
PLEASE give me detailed instructions...like where do I go, what do I enter,
etc.

The file I am trying to download is: C:\Documents and Settings\Alice\Local
Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\60KG8T7

Any help will be greatly, greatly, greatly appreciated.

Sunny,

What is 60KG8T7? You are looking at some file in your Temporary Internet
Files folder, not a file off a website on the internet. Can you supply more
information?

Hi Sunny :-)

Here are a couple of ways to do this:

Open Windows Explorer (not IE)
Find one of the files and right click on it
Select Open with
Scroll down and find the correct file type, if listed
If not listed, browse and find it
Then click OK
Then try again

or

Open Windows Explorer
Find and highlight one of these files
Click Tools>Folder Options>File type
Scroll down the list until you find the file type you want
Click Change and then OK
Close and then try it again

Hope this helps :-)
