I suspect a virus has attacked my system and I have ran
numerous virus scans, adaware and spybot scans. I have
removed several virus and trojans not to mention all the
spyware. My problem is that my system seems to be slowly
eroding. At first I would have the occaisional IE
closure. Now it closes almost constantly. I click on
Windows Help and Support and it closes out also. I was
having trouble using Outlook Express which has now
culminated in no email or headers downloading at all. I
run Win XP with a Zone Alarm firewall. I use Norton
(which also closes out when I try to run it) I even
downloaded a program to clean out my registry. That
hasn't helped. I delete cookies regularly and defrag. I
am not a computer whiz and I am really frustrated and
confused as to what to try next. Does anyone have any
suggestions?

i know that norton and zonealarm sometimes conflict with
each other. try turning off norton and check results. but
if you have had many virus then you may have to
reinstall.or repair

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
than just those two programs. CWShredder is also available here:

If nothing there helps, please post back to this thread.
