I need some help. I just bought a wireless G router. I
have a desktop and laptop. My desktop is wired and I have
a wireless PCIA card in my laptop. So far I can get it so
both computers can access the internet, but aren't I
supposed to be able to share files? How do I do that?

Both computers need to be in the same workgroup. Authentication will
happen at the Guest account level unless you utilize user accounts with
passwords. Another common mistake: Do not apply the firewall to the LAN
connection. Apply it to the internet connection only.

See the wireless networking and file sharing pages at
www.practicallynetworked.com for some discussion and step by step
articles. The Microsoft site has some extensive resources on networking
with XP that are helpful too.
