I can't get into my computer I have microsoft me and I forgot the password would really appriciate any help that anyone can give. I tried to push the cancel button but it still won't let me in.

try asking this question in the windows xp general section so more people might see it. and I have no clue of what to do. maybe try just pressing enter without entering a password. it happened to me once. hope this helps.

You can try starting in Safe mode by pressing F8 and then go under Windows and delete the file with yourname.pwl (I'm not quite sure about this extension, but should be something similar to it). Delete the folder and then restart the computer. Hit OK without entering a password.
Your second option is start under DOS mode and then try to find and delete the folder specified above yourname.pwl and then restart the computer. Hit OK without entering a password.

The only way you can get in is if you have got a reset
