I need to know where to obtain a book or infomation on
simple things. I am new to this and know very little. I
do not know how to download stuff on the computer to a
cd.. Can you download e-mail to a cd? If so, how? How do
you copy and paste? This is simple to most, but I need
help. I bought a new DELL and want to learn how to use it.
I will appreciate any help you can give me.
Thanks,
God Bless,
Pearl Smith

Welcome to the eXPeriance of XP. You really don't need to waste your money on a book Pearl. If you click the start button and then click the help and support there is a complete "how to" book in here. All you have to do is type in a single word like "download" and then click the green arrow or hit enter on your keyboard and many many articles will come up. I have no idea why anyone would want to save e:mail to a disk but you can if you want. In most cases this is a simple matter of clicking the file at the top left on the tool bar and then save to a folder or move to a folder and so on and then send the folder to the CD by right clicking on the folder and then clicking the send to and pick your CD writer(usually D). Take your time doing things but you shouldn't be afraid of clicking your way around in any program and checking what features are available to you. For instance. With your IE browser open you can click any of the things on the tool bar(at the top) and see what other options open up to you. Click tool for example and you will see many things you can do like send links in e:mails or send entire pages or get the windows updates and so on. Have fun and don't take things to serious at first. XP is very robust and if you need more help simply post back another question to this NG(news group) or e:mail me. Good luck.
