New to computers, looking to buy one. Where do I go to
find the size of the hard drive? Understand new computers
come with "40GH hard drive" (copied info). Does that
indicate size (space) of computer?

Where do I look on a computer to find it's "size" if I
look at a used one?

Thank you

40 GB indicates the size of the hard drive. This is where files are stored:
operating system, programs and personal files. 40GB is adequate for XP,
several large programs and most user data.

I think that you mentioned in another message you sent to the group that
you like to edit photos? Photo images with a good amount clarity and detail
are typically larger files. If this is so, you may need more room. You
could use a CD burner or a DVD burner to store finished images. Or you may
want to consider a system with a larger hard drive or a second hard drive.
