I am a new computer user, I had several viruses detected
too late, so I went to delete all files, so that I could
reinstall later. I changed the BIOS and master &
secondary slave, not realizing I was telling the computer
that there is no hard drive. Now I have no screen, and
when powered up the light comes on for about 30 seconds,
then goes out, I also cannot use keyboard, did I destroy
It for good? PLEASE SAY NO!!

Hello Stacy
NO
you didn't destroy it all you need to do is go into the bios and reset the
defaults, entering the bios is different on some computers I do not know you
puter manufacure so I will attach a page to help just in case.

http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/bios_manufacturer.htm

to do this enter the bios use the arrow keys go to exit and you will see set
defaults scroll down to it hit enter then go back up to exit saving changes
then it will restart shut down and pop your XP CD in and boot up to CD and
do a repair install and it should be just like new be sure to disconnect all
peripherals such as printers and stuff.
