Help,

Microsoft downloaded Windows mail on my laptop this week. I have been using
Microsoft Outlook since the beginning of 2009 which I bought and paid for.
I have never had any problems with it. Every since the windows mail download
I cannot access my Outlook. I have tried everything I could think of to get
this working. I have pinned it to the start menu, made it my default
program and still nothing after I have rebooted. If you can't help me would
please direct me to someone who can?

Thanks Joann Kotwica

Did you install Vista, because that's the only way Windows Mail gets
installed.

You are mistaken. Windows Mail is not available for download.
The only way it comes is included with Vista.

The following procedure will rewrite the default protocol
assignments in the registry:
Open the Default Programs applet, then click on "Set program
access and computer defaults." Expand the Custom selection, and
select Outlook. Click OK.

You mean Windows Live Mail not Windows Mail. You can uninstall it if you don't like it. Just go to Control Panel | Programs and remove it.

Thanks for your help. It did not work so their must be something else wrong with Outlook.

You will probably need to reinstall Outlook.
