Hey folks

I recently added a FireWire Adapter to my computer and
now my DVD-Rom and external CD-RW drives are not working.
I am running an athalon XP 1800+, 512 MB of memory with a
60 gig harddrive.

The CD-RW is a HP 8200f USB and DVD-Rom is a creative
DVD6240E

Any pointers? And please note that I've tried
uninstalling, reinstalling and connections - and I've
also had a look for updated drivers.

The firstwire adapter is NEC PCI IEEE 1394 adaptor

Thanks,

Chris

When you mean not working?
Are the drives visible in Explorer?
Are the drives visible in Disk Management?
Are the drives visible in Device Manager?
Are there any conflicts in Device Manager?
Do the drives should in BIOS on start up?
Do you get any error messages?
Are there errors in Event Viewer System log?
If are visible, can it read data, music, Dvd discs?

More info please!
