HELP!

I have been using Outlook for over 2 years now and I had never encountered
such a problem before. A couple of days back, I bought a new laptop which had
Microsoft Office 2007 which I uninstalled and instead installed MO 2003. Ever
since then, everytime I send or receive mails through outlook, I have a major
problem. After writing a mail and pressing the send button, my outlook simply
freezes for 5-10 minutes with no activity at all. All other programs work
just fine and after sometime, the mail gets send and everything is back to
normal. THe same problem happens when I receive mail. After all the mails are
downloaded, outlook freezes and only responds after a gap of 5-10 minutes. No
error messages are shown and I am totally lost as to what is happening. I am
no computer genious and anyone's help in layman's terms would be much
appreciated.

Thanks

Is antivirus configured to actively scan incoming and outgoing email? That
can cause this behaviour and isn't required in order to keep your computer
secure. Your real time scanner will handle anything that comes in.

This may mean that you have to uninstall and reinstall antivirus and omit
configuring the integration with Outlook.

Also, check for any Add Ins or COMs that integrate with Outlook, not all are
compatible with newer versions of Outlook.
