a popup saying files that are needed to run windows properly have been
replaced with unrecognizable files then it tells me to use Windows XP home
edition service pack1 cd which I don't have I bought this system new less
then 1 year ago and that didn't come with it colin

If your system did not ship with Service Pack1 already installed, look for
a ..\Windows\ServicePackFiles folder. The prompt for the CD should be
showing a path. Use the Browse button in this window or manually type in
the path to the \ServicePackFiles folder.
