Did a new account on windows mail. 2 actually. went to do send/receive got
error code. see here:The connection to the server has failed. Account:
'mail.ISP.com', Server: 'mail.ISP.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110,
Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E. outgoing
error:The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'test', Account:
'mail.ISP.com', Server: 'mail.ISP.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

please help.
 
Did you really mean to put ISP.com, or are you trying to hide who
your ISP is? We have no way of verifying the correctness of your
settings unless we see the actual mail server names. You do realize
you must use the actual server names instead of mail.ISP.com?

Shooting in the dark, the only other suggestion I have is to make
sure you are not running a non-compatible antivirus program.
Windows Mail is not compatible with most McAfee or Norton
security programs. Those will need to be uninstalled. Then try
your mail again. It should work now.

At your convenience, install a more compatible antivirus like
the free Avast:
