I cannot access http://hoylegames.sierra.com/games/spades.jsp which is (
almost ) my reason for having a PC without enabling and unticking securty

need to ask your ISP, or go to their online help page.

Step 1. Search your ISPs web site for POP3 or SMTP set up..
Follow the instructions for Outlook Express which
are good enough for Windows Mail.
