I've been trying all day to import my Outlook Express email into my new
VISTA Outlook.... Argh... I saved my folder with my dbx files to my desktop
but when I run the import wizard it does not let me search for the
files....File, Import, Outlook, then I've tried: Import from Program or
File, Import from OE, Import Mail Account settings.. it doesn't let me
browse for my file - it seems like it is trying to import something from
somewhere. Also I get a warning that says "no internet accounts were found
to import from" can you all help??? Thanks!

Maybe you're confusing it. Are you telling it to import from Outlook or
Outlook Express?
Are you pointing to the folder that holds the DBX files?
Did you make sure the DBX files are not Read Only or hidden?

1) It's called Windows Mail not Vista Outlook
2) Create a folder off the C: drive and name it Mail then copy ALL the dbx
files into it.
3) Make absolutely certain you have the Folders.dbx file.
4) File | Import | Messages | Microsoft Outlook Express 6 | Next button
5) Press OK on the next dialog window
6) Press Browse button on the next dialog window.
7) In the left windows pane on the bottom, scroll down till you see COMPUTER
8) Click on it to expand it
9) Expand Local Disk (C:) so you can see the Mail folder
10) Click on the Mail folder.
11) In the line next to Folder: it will show the folder Mail, erase it
12) Click Select Folder button
13) The path will now show C:\Mail
14) Finish out the import

If you you get a message still that it can't find the the e-mails, make sure
you have the Folders.dbx file.
