well i put the disk in boot from it get to were it says insatll drivers what
drivers and were do i get them from i dont get past collecting info please
help

Where has this 'install drivers' come from? There is an option to 'load
drivers' which is for users with SATA drives. If you don't have a SATA drive
then you don't need this otpion. Vista has most drivers for everything else
you will need to install the operating system.

Are you upgrading from XP? If not have you created a seperate partition for
Vista and pointed vista to that partition for it to install?

Trying to install Longhorn Aug CTP.... Clean install, hard disks have been
wiped. After it boots from the DVD without a problem and starts the install,
THEN it claims it needs a DVD/CD device driver.
some one eles just posted that thats what i get

What make/model is your DVD drive? Several people have had this same
problem, in that Vista will not recognize the DVD/CD drive. Is your DVD
drive set as primary master on the IDE channel?

Optical Drive _NEC DVD_RW ND-2500A (DVD+RW:8x/4x, DVD-RW:8x/4x,
DVD-ROM:12x, CD:32x/16x/40x DVD+RW/DVD-RW) and no its secondary master
