I need to know which edition of Vista I'm running on my computer. This
Gateway came preloaded with Vista on it, and now I'm trying to update my
drivers for my video card. When going to download, it asks which version
I'm running 32 bit version or 64 bit version. How can I tell so that I know
I'm downloading the correct drivers for my video card?

It's easy just go to the start button, click on it and then go to where it
says computer and right click on it and when the drop down menu appears click
on properties and a screen will come up telling you the basic information
about your computer. It will be listed in the system section and it will say
whether it is a 32 or 64 bit operating system

You can go into the control panel and System. In there it tells you the
details of your system and the version of Windows you are using.
