Hi

Sorry if this topic has already been covered but I am at the end of my
tether and cannot find it in the archives. I am also getting stress from the
missus as I have not sorted this out yet!

I have a Sony DCR-DVD205 camcorder and have several DVD's already completed.
I now want to transfer them onto 4.7GB DVD's and re-use the 1.4GB disks
again. When I try to put them on my PC how do I only save the scenes that I
want? When I look at individual files they appear to be in the format of IFO
files and they open with Power DVD. Is this any good or is Windows Media
player better?

Secondly I have tried to transfer the files onto Windows Movie Maker for
editing and the files will not copy as they are in the wrong format???? How
do I change this please. I did go into a Sony centre but they were of no help
at all.

If anyone can help me then I would greatly apprciate it. Also if anyone
knows of anywhere there is a basic guide to working with DVD camcorders/Pc's
and video editing then please let me know.

Many thanks
