Help!!!!!

My ibm hard disk can not be acessed by the bios. when i
boot my system it says the primary slave hard disk failed.
the software from hitachi website can acess it either so
what shall i do.
Here are my pc details
pentium 4 3.06
gigabyte sinxp motherboard

download a new bios for youre mother borad and check the
jumpers on youre hard-drive
 
i've already done that. all i need is something that can
acess my ibm 180gxp hard drvive. i've tried everything
including the downloads from the hitachi website. please
help!!!!!!!!!!
