Can someone tell how to get a transperant text field on my desktop so
that my desktop icons aren't highlighted?

1.. Open System in Control Panel.
2.. On the Advanced tab, under Performance, click Settings.
3.. On the Visual Effects tab.
4.. Select the check box for those items you want to turn on. Clear the
check box for the items you want to turn off.
Note

a.. To open System, click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel,
and then double-click System.
b.. Make sure there is a check next to "Use drop shadows for icon labels
on desktop".......I think it is the next to last item.

Ok, now I need help.......the post I sent did not (heavy on the 'NOT') have
any attachments!! I have no idea how those could have been put on my post!
I looked at my sent box and there are NO attachments on my post! Anyone
have a clue how they could have been put on??? I did a search of my entire
machine and those two .gifs are not in my computer! I would caution anyone
not to open either of them.

This is normal behavior when you copy and paste from instructions such as
Help and Support and the text copied has special formatting. Everything is
cool.

I have the same problem where all the icons on my desktop are highlighted.
Also when I highlight any text in doesn't highlight like it used to. Before
if the text was dark when I highlighted it would make the text light with a
dark background and if the text was light it would make it dark with a light
background.. But now whenever I highlight anything its white with a dark blue
background now matter what..

Someone pls help
