Ok, here's the deal

Running XP Home, upgraded from ME...

Recently downloaded some updates from microsoft, including a graphics driver. After download, graphics started hanging. At same time, I updated my BIOS. Ultimately, my system wouldn't boot to xp. it would get to the blue xp screen and hang

I reformatted the drive, reinstalled xp and I still can't get it to boot. I can get to DOS prompt, but can't boot, even in safe mode. I took out the ATI graphics card and still have the same problem..

any ideas

Jamie

DO NOT, repeat, DO NOT download video drivers from WindowsUpdate or
Microsoft. ALWAYS download video drivers from the card manufacturer's web
site.
