HELP!!!!

NO SOUNDS

How Can I restore system sounds and sound defaults?, I
get an error when i put in a cd that says that my sound
device is being used by something else, I can't figure
out what is going on, the troubleshooter does absolutley
nothing to help me so I just need some help as to where
to look for a way to pin piont what is going wrong and a
way to figure out what is going on. any help with this
from anyone on earth would be greatly apreciated, if you
have any ideas just reply, I am out of ideas I have
nothing left, i want to through my pc out the window and
get a new one.

p.s.: the error code i get from windows mediaplayer
is:0xC00D11BA, and if you are familiar with this you will
know that this means nothing and offers no help towards a
solution of my problem.

Have you tried a system restore from back when it all

worked ok. This is my favourite coping strategy !
