Claire

does anyone know how to avoid/fix this error message:
The computer name you specified is already in use. this
occurs in windows xp.

The Computer name cannot be the same as any other Computer name on your LAN (network). Additionally, it cannot be the same as any Username on the computer.

Can you please add a little more context? When are you getting this error , is it when you are trying to add yourself to a domain?

Thanks.
