My antivirus software found a trojan horse in a file in windows called d3qu.exe
It was unable to fix or quarantine the file so it suggests I delete it permanently. It's a windows file though, so I'm worried that if I do it will screw something up for my computer. Is this file absolutely necessary, and if so, is there somewhere I can get a replacement file for if and when I delete this one?
Help!!!!!
Thanks

I don't find that file on my computer, so it is not a necessary OS file.
Have you run SpyBot S&D and Adaware?

Ad-Aware

Usually when your AV software find a virus/trojan, it gives the specific name/identifier of the virus/trojan, not just the file name. Once you have this information, post back, or check your AV software maker's web site for information on how to remove the particular infection.
