HELP!!

I am trying to return the last date a person attended a class from the detail section of a report. The report is grouped by the persons Initials (this is all the info I have on a person, one person could have 30 lines of data) and then Account number. So the initials MM could have 2 account numbers since an MM could be a person in both accounts. The detail section contains the date of each class the class number and the data from the class. Since the number of classes varies for each person I cannot figure out a way to have the last class date listed. Can anyone help me??
 
I think you should be able to create a query with the information you need.
Then join the query into your report's record source so you can display the
information.
