i recently purchased a second hand dell inspiron510m laptop and need to know where i can obtain the application restore and recovery discs for this model from as my 3year old daughter has ruined the orignals with a pair of sisscors, please help!

call DELL

no other option. :(

you will not be able to download it as it will most likely include a copy of windows. unfortunatey Dell will more than likely charge your for replacing the recovery cd's and it won't be cheap.

Yup, thats the only way I'm afraid!

You could always back up your current hard drive so you can return to the same point if needed.

That is REALLLLLY unlucky...

If Dell won't replace it for less than fifty quid, just buy a new copy of XP from elsewhere and download the drivers...

Explain the situation to them and offer to send in the small fragments of what once was the recover suite and they might be nice. Is doubtful.

would anyone out there have this same model and be able to make me some backup cds from there own disks , i am quite willing to pay.

The only reason why i do not want to give you a copy, is because after you install XP, it asks you to activate windows. after activating, another PC cannot be installed with the same disc.

I would like to keep it incase i need to install.

hi, its not the xp disc i need its just the application and restore software, can you help!

I think usually with shop bought computers, XP and the restore disc are one and the same are they not?

Call Dell

They are the only one that can posibly help.

As you're "willing to pay" I'm sure you will get an answer off them.

:)
