and I lost my settings in my WMP library...I had all the MP3's labelled as to
artist and genre...and while I still have the MP3's, I no longer have the
library details. If I scan them back into the restored WMP, I'll lose all the
details?
Help? I was able to copy all of my old programs to another drive, so I do
see TWO '.wmdb' files from the OLD WMP library, but can't seem to add the to
the new WMP....
HELP!?

It depends. If you've allowed WMP to update the files with the metadata
then you will only lose things like play counts, ratings etc. It's hard
to predict. WMP could start looking up their details in the online
database and make changes to them.

Those are probably the WMDB library index files for v9 and v10
respectively. You can't add a library to the library. You can only
replace the files. They are also of little use unless all the media
files are in the same place as they were before as WMP won't be able to
match up files to the index automatically.
