We have a vendor in town doing some software training.
She wanted her notebook setup on our network with a local
user account. In her computer properties we set her up to
log into a workgroup. When we rebooted none of her user
ids or passwords will work. Not even administrator.
We're also not given any options to switch to any other
domains. Now we're completely stuck with no way to even
get her back to the original settings. Any help would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Your statements contradict themselves, so I don't know what you really mean
or what you really did.

If it is setup with an account on your network, then it is not a "local
account". If it is a local account then your network is irrelevant because
the account she was already using was already a local account,...*assuming*
she wasn't using a "cached" Domain Account from the Domain back where she is
from if the laptop was a Domain Member there.
In her computer properties we set her up to
log into a workgroup. When we rebooted none of her user
ids or passwords will work. Not even administrator.

Making it part of a workgroup would never have done that,...nothing that you
do can effect the local Administrator account on her machine, it will still
work no matter how many workgroups or domains it gets switched to. Making it
part of a workgroups also does not make it part of your network.
We're also not given any options to switch to any other
domains. Now we're completely stuck with no way to even
get her back to the original settings. Any help would be

Most likely the machine was a part of a Domain back at the company she came
from and she previously used a Domain User account and logged into it while
off the Domain as a "cached account". When you moved it out of the Domain
and into a Workgroup you wiped out the "cached account" and she does not
even have a local account on the machine to use. The Local Administrator
account on the machine (assuming that is what you actually tried to use)
will still, and always will, work fine,...but probably no one knows the real
password for it.

The system Administrator where she is from is probably the only one that can
straighten it out.
