Can anyone please help me

My problem concerns a few different factors
firstly i have a home pc with windows XP home o.s on it
and i have a laptop with windows XP professional on it
and i use a dial up connection to the internet, secondly
i have installed a sitecom 54mbps pci card into my main
pc and a sitecom 54mbps cardbus they are both the same
brand and both are 54mbps, they are also WLAN, i have
tried again and again to set up a home network so that i
can access both laptop and main pc together ona wireless
basis and also to share the internet connection on the
wireless system as well, i am struggling and going back
and forth with this any help would be most appreciated by
myself

chances are you'll have to do what I did.
Elect to use ICS on 1 or the other computer, I personally only use it
on my laptop(older model) since I don't use it much. I have a Belkin

wireless DSL("Dumbass at Staples") router
(like it, but what part of dial-up don't you understant!)

the 11MPS model for which I had to configure as an Access Point. This
should definately resolve your Problem, and then just run ICS on the
computer you want to establish the connection

BTW you may also need to disable DHCP in your router as well, setting
it as an AP should take care of this

I really hope this helps

Linux -- a network in a box

Eric

I have the same problem trying to setup a wireles peer-
peer network, going back and forth with the networking
wizard. Can a peer-peer network be setup by just using a
wireless adapter card and nothing else eg: router/access
point.???

I haven't done it, but my wireless card says this would be "ad hoc" mode
-- no router/access point, just peer-to-peer between two
computers/wireless cards.
