help with Windows Movie Maker

ive been working with the WMM for the first time. ive been happy with my
project that i wanted it to post to youtube.com right away.
i encountered a problem with the file it so happen it was still in ..mswmm.
anyhow i searched all over the internet for solutions. i found one last night
and this one work when i tried to save my project esp that eveytime i tried
to save it, it always give me a "Windows Movie Maker cannot save the movie to
the specified location. Verify that original source file used in your movie
is still available..."
ive been trying to save it as .wmv but it saved when i tried the
..dv-avi(ntsc). it took several minutes which is fine but when i tried to play
it after, it worked but the audio and the slideshow is sooooo slow. its so
frustrating.
can anybody help me out? plsss.
