There are two each .wav and .mid files in my slide show. The show plays as it should. When I attempt to Pack and Go the message comes up that the files cannot be found. How do I solve this problem? Using Win 98 II Edition and PP 2002.

Most likely the audio files are located in a different folder than your PPT
file. Delete the audio files from the presentation. Copy/move the audio
files into the same folder as the presentation. Reinsert the audio files
into the presentation. Now try Pack & GO.

Check here for info on relative links in PPT:

You are correct. I did not put the audio files in the same folder. Should this be the procedure?
1. SAVE the ppt file to a folder.
2. Move the audio files to that folder.
3. Open the ppt file from that folder in Windows Explorer.
4. Pack & Go.

Thank you for your help.

No. That is a common misunderstanding. You're forgetting to re-create the
links.

The link is created at the time that you insert the video file in the
presentation. Just moving the file to a common folder does not change the
link and, in fact, will ensure that the link is broken. Do the following:

1. open the presentation and delete all of the videos.
2. move all of the video files to the folder where the presentation is
saved.
3. insert the videos in the presentation (creating links) and save the
presentation to the folder
4. do your Pack and Go.
