Hi.
Recently I got something weird from my system.
My Norton AntiVirus 2003 will constantly popup Virus Alert.
Showing W32.Nimda.enc.
And I notice that there are several .eml files (????.eml, desktop.nws,
desktop.eml, thumbs.eml, etc) keep spanning in almost every directories in
my drive. I also notice that it is keep downloaded stuff from online at the
same time.
However, when I do a full virus scan, nothing shows up.
Does anyone now to deal with this kind of situation?
Thanks.
Ivan.

Stop sharing your drive and see if that helps.

Here is what you can do. open up windows explorer and do a search of your
entire HD for all .eml files. (In the search field type in "*.eml" with no
qoutes)
When the search is done highlight all of the eml files and delete them.

deleting eml files wont help! The enc files are files that contain none
viral code and are part of nimda. they are harmless and you can delete
them
