HELP with W2002: "Do you want to merge..."

There's an annoying prompt I sometimes get, example:

'Do you want to merge changes is "mcm_chap.doc" back
into "C:\work\confpub\book_03\mcm_chap.doc'?

Message box choices-> "YES", "NO", and "NO AND DON'T ASK
AGAIN".

Is there a way to make this dialog disappear forever?
