hey everyone,

i have found my old old desktop, and i had a thought of upgrading it. I have done some upgrades before but i just wanted everyone else's ideas for this. The motherboard is a marsonic MS8137C, it has a socket type A so only a limited number of cpus will fit that. Any ideas on what i should do with it?

thanks alot everyone,

ps Great weather today!! :)

Make sure you have 512 Kb of ram or more, then just install a linux os.

I can recomend,

and cute.

Kanotix - very nice, good for slightly older pc's.

Not sure if these will be ok but they are worth a look,

Ubuntu or the Edubuntu is great for kids.

My favourite is Mandriva it might be too much for an older pc. Look in the Linux section here on site for some walkthroughs. The Mandriva one is for a 64 Bit os but the 32 Bit is pretty much the same and even easier to set up and use.

Oh and they are all free.
